Decoder by MimicLabs

Send it for signature.Everyone reads it first.

SignMe sends a document to each person for signature. Before they sign, Decoder reads it and tells them what it says, with the line it got that from. Included with Decoder on iPhone and on the web.

Decoder explains documents. Not professional advice.

Send it for signature from your phone or your browser

Upload a PDF, drop the signature fields where they go, and send each person a link. They sign in their browser. No account, no app. When everyone has signed, you all get the finished copy and a record of who signed and when.

  • Draw or type a signature once. It fills every signature field that is yours.
  • You sign your own fields in the app. Recipients sign on the web.
  • Included with Decoder on iPhone and on the web.
More about SignMe

Every signer gets the read

When you send a document, Decoder reads it once and shows each person what it says before the signature field: the deal in one line, what you agree to, what the other side can do, how it ends, and anything that would surprise you. Each point quotes the sentence it came from.

It describes the document. What to do about it is up to the person signing.

Or read anything on its own

Take a photo of a contract, a bill or a letter, or share the PDF. Decoder reads it and explains what it says in plain words, and quotes the sentence it took that from so you can check it yourself.

Every finding quotes the document.

If Decoder cannot point to the sentence in a document, it does not show the finding.

Decoder describes. It does not advise.

It tells you what a clause does. What to do about it is your call.

We keep the result, not your document.

The text is read to produce the result and is not stored. Delete your account and every result goes with it. A document you send for signature is stored so your recipients can sign it.

Questions

What is Decoder?

An app that sends documents for signature and reads them first. Each person who signs sees what the document says, in plain words, before the signature field. On its own, Decoder also reads bills, contracts, letters and notices you give it.

Does the person signing see the read?

Yes. It sits on the signing page, above the signature field, and each point quotes the line it came from.

Does Decoder give legal or financial advice?

No. It explains what a document says. For advice about your own situation, talk to a qualified professional.

What happens to my documents?

The text is sent to our processing provider to produce the result and is not stored. We keep the result, which includes short quotes from the document. Deleting your account deletes every result. A document you send for signature is different: it is stored so your recipients can sign it, and it is removed when you delete the request or 90 days after it is completed.

Does the person signing need the app?

No. They open a link in any browser, on a phone or a computer. There is nothing to install and no account to make.
